Privacy policy
This policy explains how the David Greene Campaign handles information connected to this website.
Information you choose to provide
Forms may collect your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, street or neighborhood information for sign delivery, organization and event details, volunteer interests, and messages you submit. Nothing is sent unless you submit a form.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the services that host and secure this site may automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the time of a visit. These logs are used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site.
Cookies, analytics, and embedded services
The campaign does not add advertising pixels or its own tracking cookies to this site. The hosting provider's built-in visitor analytics reports aggregate traffic: the number of visits and page views, which pages were viewed, roughly how long visits lasted, whether a visit arrived from a search engine, another website, or directly, a broad device category (desktop, mobile, or tablet), and a country inferred from the browser's time zone. That analytics is not built from IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or tracking cookies, and it does not follow you across other websites or build a personal profile. The hosting provider does set necessary cookies that keep connections secure and the site working, and it does not sell information collected through this site. The homepage includes an embedded Facebook feed; when it loads, Facebook may receive your IP address and set or read its own cookies under Facebook's privacy policy. Website fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser information when the page loads.
How the campaign uses information
The campaign uses submitted information to respond, coordinate volunteers and yard signs, consider invitations, understand community concerns, and send campaign communications when you give permission.
Collaboration with other campaigns
The campaign may work alongside other like-minded campaigns and organizations in pursuit of better-quality education for students. In that collaborative effort, information you submit may be shared with or combined with information held by those partners to help elect candidates who support public education and to coordinate outreach. That sharing is campaign collaboration, not a sale.
Selling personal information
The campaign does not sell personal information, and it does not trade your information for money. Sharing with collaborating campaigns, described above, is not a sale.
Campaign communications and text messages
The campaign may contact you by email or phone about the request you submitted. Where you have given the permission the law requires, the campaign may also send campaign text messages. Replying STOP to any campaign text message automatically removes your number from future bulk campaign texts. You can also ask the campaign to stop communications at any time by emailing david@davidgreene.net.
Service providers and donation platforms
Form submissions are delivered to the campaign by email through the website's hosting and email-delivery provider. ActBlue and RaiseTheMoney operate under their own privacy policies and collect the information needed to process and report contributions.
Retention and legal recordkeeping
The campaign keeps information as long as reasonably needed for campaign operations, legal obligations, and recordkeeping. Campaign-finance and other legally required records may have statutory retention requirements and cannot always be deleted on request.
Security
Reasonable safeguards are used, but no website or email system can promise absolute security.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask the campaign to correct or remove information, to stop campaign communications, or to keep your information out of shared campaign lists, by emailing david@davidgreene.net. Some records may need to be retained when required by law.
Children
This campaign website is not directed to children under 13, and the campaign does not knowingly seek personal information from children through its forms.

This site links to social networks, public agencies, news sources, and donation providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
